Maintenance Mechanic - Facilities

Located in Somerset County, Matheny Medical and Educational Center has an opportunity available for a Full-Time Maintenance Mechanic. This position is five days per week, Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains mechanical systems, including electrical, plumbing and heating.
• Maintains a neat and orderly appearance of all grounds and buildings.
• Sets up tables, chairs, and other items for various functions as needed.
• Picks up various supplies, parts, and building materials and delivers items to various locations as needed.
• Assembles and installs equipment as necessary.
• Completes preventative maintenance checks according to schedule and documents/reports as required by regulations.
• Provides on-call service on a scheduled basis.
• Completes maintenance work orders.
• Maintains working knowledge of all emergency systems and procedures including fire alarm procedures.
• Executes work orders that support all Matheny locations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• New Jersey Driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• New Jersey Low-Pressure Boiler Operator's License (Black Seal) preferred.
• Certified Pool & Operator (CPO) preferred.
• ASHE Certified Health Care Physical Environment Worker (CHCPEW) preferred.
• CFC/Universal Certificate, Type II, 40-CFR, Part 82, Subpart F, preferred.

Pay

The hourly wage for this position is $20.51 - $30.76 per hour.
