Maintenance Mechanic II - Facilities Management
Responsibilities
- Maintains various types of mechanical systems to include, but not limited to: refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, plumbing, electrical, automation, medical gas and fire protection systems.
- Provides a wide variety of skilled tasks including installation, repairs, troubleshooting, planning, modifications, and calibration of instrumentation for various types of mechanical systems.
- Monitors equipment & utility systems and logs performance indication readings.
- Reviews Work Orders daily and completes associated tasks/repairs by Type/Priority, documenting the “as found” condition, troubleshooting/repair details, list any testing equipment (w/calibration dates), test results data, photos, verbal/written documentation of communication with Requestor, and final “as corrected” condition.
- Documents root causes for all equipment failures.
- Maintains detailed and accurate records of system repairs, temperature, humidity, and air flow as required by authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ) and medical center policy.
- Ensures safe and efficient operation of equipment and follows through to completion any required repairs, maintenance, and alterations under limited supervision.
- Ensures safe and efficient operation of various types of mechanical systems to include, but not limited to: refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, plumbing, electrical, automation, medical gas and fire protection systems, Energy Management systems, and follows through to completion any required repairs, maintenance, and alterations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- In lieu of degree, 20 years of maintaining various types of mechanical systems to include, but not limited to: refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, plumbing, electrical, automation, medical gas and fire protection systems will be accepted.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience maintaining various types of mechanical systems to include, but not limited to: refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, plumbing, electrical, automation, medical gas and fire protection systems.
- SC Journeyman Mechanical Certification (MECH)
- ASSE 6040 Med Gas certification
