Facility Maintenance Mechanic II

The Maintenance Mechanic II role is an intermediate facility maintenance position focused on ensuring the operational integrity of facility and process-related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on facility and process-related equipment, including make-up air units (MAU), natural gas-fired generators, oil/water separators, cooling water towers, vacuum pumps, air compressors, variable frequency drives, boilers, steam systems, and associated equipment.
• Adhere to all engineering instructions, standard operating procedures, and departmental procedures.
• Observe and follow environmental, health, and safety procedures.
• Positively represent Collins Aerospace’s company vision and support the management team.
• Ensure company policies and procedures are followed and consistently implemented.
• Analyze and repair malfunctioning equipment or systems (mechanical, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical).
• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and demonstrate familiarity with Distributive Control Systems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Operate equipment and tools, including:
  • Forklift
  • 3-ton and 5-ton Cranes
  • Kubota UTV
  • Various hand and power tools
  • Digital Multimeter
  • Alignment Tools
• Perform water treatment analysis and take corrective action.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications

You Must Have

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 or more years of experience in a maintenance or other mechanical-focused role.

We Prefer

• Background in electrical systems troubleshooting and repair.
• 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to solve problems creatively.
• Ability to evaluate work and exercise judgment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Schedule

• Rotating 4-on/4-off schedule with 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM).

Pay

• Hourly rate: $28–$32/hr.
• Shift differential: $2.75/hr.
