Maintenance Generalist MG01 - 1st Shift - Newton Hatchery (MS)

About the role

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This position could work in any department of the feed mill.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all equipment and company assets
• Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to Tyson policies and procedures
• Work in any department of the feed mill
• Perform physical tasks: standing, walking, bending, stretching, twisting, climbing, pushing and pulling up to 300 lb buggies, reaching
• Lift as required (weight varies by area)
• Work on elevated surfaces in some areas
• Work in dusty, cold, damp, hot/humid environments with slippery walking surfaces
• Communicate orally and in writing
• Possess basic math and computer skills
• Enter data into handheld computer system
• Use basic hand tools, operate power tools and all automated equipment (saws, sheet metal shears, drills, grinders
