Maintenance Generalist Lead (2nd Shift) Sedalia - MO
About the role
This position assists the Supervisor in coordinating the daily responsibilities of the department by ensuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to team members and carried out timely and correctly. The role is also responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
You must have strong communication skills and be able to lead a group of team members or contractors to accomplish preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, and rebuilds. You will also need to communicate effectively with production managers and team members to meet daily production and productivity needs. The role requires working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
- Rebuild equipment as determined necessary by the supervisor
- Conduct facility repairs within the assigned area
- Make machine adjustments during production periods
- Repair equipment in the event of mechanical failure
- Use a computerized maintenance management system
Requirements
- 3 months of mechanical experience or currently enrolled in or completed an automotive/mechanical degree or training program
- Must provide government identification for employment history verification
- Former Tyson Team Members must be separated from the company for a minimum of 180 calendar days to be eligible for rehire (no rehire for those terminated for gross misconduct or who have worked at Tyson 3 or more times)
