Maintenance Generalist (1st Shift) Sedalia - MO

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and keeping machinery running. Duties include preventative maintenance on all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Identify all parts, supplies, and services required to maintain equipment in assigned area.
• Complete work orders in a timely manner to meet or exceed pre-established deadlines, reducing downtime and meeting production goals.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting, reaching, rotating, walking, climbing, bending, and squatting throughout the shift.
• Use basic hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, drill press, band saws, multi-meter, and others.

Requirements

• 3 months of mechanical experience or currently enrolled in or completed an automotive/mechanical degree or training program.
• Must provide government identification number for Tyson employment history verification.
• Former Tyson Team Members must be separated from the company for a minimum of 180 calendar days to be eligible for rehire.
• No rehire for former Tyson Team Members terminated for gross misconduct.
• Applicants with three or more prior employments at Tyson are not eligible for rehire.
• Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
