About the role

Join our team as a Maintenance Worker General and help maintain and improve our buildings, equipment, and grounds. You'll work alongside experienced maintenance professionals, tackling new challenges and using a variety of skills in construction, repair, and facility maintenance every day.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with general maintenance, construction, and repair projects.
  • Perform semi-skilled work across multiple trades, including carpentry, electrical, painting, masonry, plumbing, and related maintenance functions.
  • Clean drains and perform basic plumbing maintenance and repairs.
  • Install glass in windows, doors, and partitions.
  • Replace damaged ceiling tiles, floor tiles, and wall coverings.
  • Assist with generator setup and related maintenance tasks.
  • Install and repair fixtures such as window shades, blinds, curtain rods, wall fans, door locks, and hardware.
  • Operate equipment, including trucks and backhoes, as required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop and work area.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local safety regulations and workplace safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support facility operations.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials commonly used in maintenance and construction trades.
  • Skills in the construction, repair, restoration, and installation of wood and related materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and work instructions.
  • Ability to estimate time, materials, and resources needed to complete maintenance projects.
  • Experience performing maintenance work in multiple trades is preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate maintenance vehicles and equipment.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
