About the role
Devereux is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to join our team. The role involves maintaining equipment and tools, ensuring efficient use of time and materials, and performing various maintenance tasks such as carpentry, electrical work, lawn care, painting, plumbing, HVAC, and locksmith work.
Responsibilities
- Maintains equipment and tools in proper working condition and ensures proper storage.
- Ensures efficient use of time and materials.
- Selects materials required to perform assignments and requests additional materials as needed.
- Completes work order documentation accurately and promptly.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of work and shop areas.
- Remains aware of safety regulations and follows them while performing work and storing materials.
- Performs comprehensive maintenance duties including carpentry, electrical work, lawn care, painting, patching/plastering, plumbing, welding, HVAC, and locksmith work.
- Leads the work of maintenance staff in projects related to area(s) of technical expertise.
- Acquires proper materials under the direction of the supervisor.
- Identifies needs and recommends alternative solutions.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must possess current, valid driver's license.
- Minimum of (1) year of experience performing semi-skilled maintenance and repair work involving carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, fire alarm, locksmith, and mechanics.
- Be flexible, patient, energetic, creative, and embrace our mission of Servant Leadership.
- Complete an extensive 2-week training program (paid).
