Facilities Maintenance Specialist

Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of skilled, semi-skilled and manual labor tasks related to the maintenance and repair of town facilities.
- Performs various landscaping and horticultural tasks.
- Performs building maintenance tasks.
- Mows grass.
- Marks ball fields.
- Operates a splash pad.
- Performs special event set up and clean up.
- Performs unskilled to semi-skilled trades repairs.
Requirements
- Experience in building and grounds maintenance or closely related fields such as landscaping, horticulture, trades helper or maintenance.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid NC Driver’s License.
- Ability to obtain a Pesticide Applicator’s License and Playground Maintenance Certificate within the timeframe set by the Town.
Qualifications

The salary range is $40,176 - $49,974, and the starting salary will be dependent on qualifications and prior experience. Will also be eligible for a $2,500 sign-on bonus upon hire.
