Facilities Maintenance Specialist

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general carpentry
  • Conduct regular inspections of clinical and non-clinical areas to identify and address safety concerns, cleanliness, and operational readiness
  • Maintain exam rooms, procedure areas, and common spaces to ensure proper functioning of fixtures, lighting, and utilities
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests according to scheduled site visits and urgent maintenance needs
  • Perform preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and extend the life of facility assets
  • Maintain exterior areas, including walkways, parking lots, and landscaping as needed
  • Cook up with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations
  • Aid with facility renovations, improvements, and special projects
  • Accurately document maintenance tasks in the building management application, including time, location, and associated costs
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours or weekend urgent maintenance support
  • Maintain a safe work environment and report issues or concerns to the Director of Provider Support or Site Manager

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical training, facility management, engineering background, or related experience preferred
  • Facilities management certification is a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years of facility maintenance experience required
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general mechanical systems
  • Experience with facility supply purchasing, groundskeeping, and equipment repair coordination
  • Basic understanding of elevators, fire alarm systems, plumbing, and other facility systems
  • Ability to lift, move, and transport maintenance equipment and supplies as needed
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required depending on site responsibilities

  • Ability to collaborate closely with management and team members on facility-related projects and initiatives

Schedule

Full-time, with after-hours or weekend support as needed.
