Maintenance Engineer I

About the role

The Maintenance Engineer I position will be responsible for maintaining the general condition of the campus with regards to all aspects of basic electrical, carpentry, plumbing, mechanical and painting tasks. Complete maintenance request work orders from Director of Engineering in a timely manner. Participate in the preventive maintenance program for all building equipment. Complete other special task assigned periodically by the Director of Engineering. This position requires consistent adherence to policies and procedures of the department as outlined in Lynn University standard operating procedures and the engineering department standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on all building common area hardware as scheduled, this requires the individual to visually inspect and detect items needing repair and requires knowledge of a wide variety of maintenance trade.
• Receive daily work order assignments from the department head and through the automated work order system.
• Respond to maintenance calls and opportunities in a positive and polite manner.
