Mainline Production Specialist- Eagle Ford

About the role

The Mainline – Production Specialist is a leadership role based in Kenedy, TX, providing mentorship to Mainline – Multi-Skill Operators (MSOs). You will be responsible for the operation of central facilities, monitoring and optimizing production and costs. This is a Safety Sensitive position, and candidates must reside or be willing to relocate within 40 miles of Kenedy, TX.

The Eagle Ford tight oil trend in south Texas represents our second-most prolific unconventional resource development. We hold approximately 489,000 net acres, with a focus on full-field development using customized well spacing and stacking patterns. In 2025, we operated seven rigs and three frac crews, averaging 390 MBOED net production.

Responsibilities

• Follow all ConocoPhillips Health, Safety, & Environmental (HSE), OSHA, and Process Safety Management (PSM) rules.
• Start up and shut down central facilities under normal and emergency conditions.
• Conduct hands-on training and competence assessments for new MSOs.
• Monitor central facility performance data using Cygnet.
• Serve as liaison between the support team (FE, Projects, I&E, Maintenance, Mechanical) and Well Operations.
• Champion alarm rationalization and management.
• Operate a company-provided vehicle to perform job duties.
• Lead handover processes and pre-startup safety reviews (PSSR)/commissioning of new equipment and facilities.
• Assist in developing Safety Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Troubleshoot operations problems, maintain housekeeping, and keep accurate records.
• Enforce proper policies and procedures.
• Represent operations in project activities.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Current/valid Driver’s License.
• 3+ years of experience in upstream and midstream field operations.
• Intermediate proficiency in PSSR and MOC processes.
• Willing and able to work in temperature extremes, wear safety equipment, and perform physical tasks (walking, bending, lifting, etc.).
• Willing to work weekends, be on call, and travel up to 5% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or trade certificate in Production Technology, Process Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of direct experience with oil and gas production practices, equipment, and terminology.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft O365 (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Word).
• Understanding of gas compression, dehydration, gas and liquid measurement, mechanics, and instrumentation.
• Commitment to safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong mentoring, coaching, and team-building skills.
• Ability to prepare accurate and legible reports.
• Proactive in improving processes and driving performance.

• Use of hand tools for minor repairs.
• Weekend work and on-call availability required.
