Artificial Lift Technician, Eagle Ford

About the Role

As an Artificial Lift Technician, you will work with the Production Team, including Production Leads, Production Engineers, Production Specialists, MSOs, and IOC, to achieve optimal well optimization. This is a safety-sensitive position based in Kenedy, TX. Candidates must currently reside or be willing to relocate within a 40-mile driving radius of Kenedy, TX.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of artificial lift equipment
• Optimize daily performance of plungers, gas lift, and intermitter settings:
  • Utilize ROC Link for advanced artificial lift optimization
  • Work with Rock gas lift valves
  • Monitor wells for optimal injection rates and production
  • Perform plunger inspections
• Unload wells
• Perform fluid level shots and CO2 surveys
• Troubleshoot and repair artificial lift automation equipment:
  • Pressure Transmitters
  • Digital Valve Controllers
  • I2P’s
  • Solenoids
  • Control Valves
  • Plunger arrival sensors
• Recognize inefficient artificial lift performance and implement solutions
• Communicate daily with production engineering on artificial lift optimization
• Assist the production department with artificial lift problems and optimization as directed by the production lead or supervisor
• Perform rod lift diagnostics

Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Current/valid driver's license
• 5 or more years of direct experience with oil and gas production practices, equipment, and terminology
• 2 or more years of experience in SCADA systems
• 1 or more years of direct experience with artificial lift: Intermitters, Gas Lift, Plungers, and Rod lift
• 1 or more years of experience with automation and I&E equipment troubleshooting
• Willing and able to perform the following (with or without reasonable accommodation):
  • Work in temperature extremes or adverse weather conditions
  • Work in several different geographic locations daily
  • Work both in and out of a company-owned vehicle
  • Wear appropriate special safety equipment
  • Climb heights up to 24 feet to gauge tanks
  • Walk, bend, stoop, lift, push, and pull
  • Use hand tools to make minor repairs
  • Work overtime occasionally, as needed
  • Work weekends
