About the role

The Mainline – Field Operator is responsible for the operation of designated central facilities, including monitoring and optimizing production and cost. This position requires residence or willingness to relocate within 40 miles of Kennedy, TX.

The Eagle Ford tight oil trend in south Texas represents our second-most prolific unconventional resource development. We hold approximately 489,000 net acres in the Eagle Ford, with a focus on full-field development using customized well spacing and stacking patterns.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine calibrations, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of electronic, electrical, and pneumatic equipment (e.g., motor controls, process control equipment, flares, valves, emergency shutdown systems, fire and gas detection systems, radio networks).
  • Maintain, install, and troubleshoot power systems of various voltages (12/24 VDC and 120/480VAC).
  • Maintain accurate records of electrical and instrumentation equipment, repair history, and preventive/predictive maintenance.
  • Complete work orders in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with I&E Foreman, Lead, Specialists, techs, artificial lift techs, mechanics, and operators to resolve issues.
  • Read and interpret manuals, policies, standards, drawings, and schematics (electrical, pneumatic, P&IDs).
  • Exercise stop work authority.
  • Drive teamwork throughout the area of responsibility.
  • Complete and maintain required safety/regulatory training (CBT).
  • Participate in Respiratory Program requirements.
  • Participate in on-call and callout requirements.

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Current/valid Driver’s License.
  • 3+ years of experience in unconventional field operations.
  • Basic understanding of gas compression, dehydration, gas and liquid measurement, mechanics, and instrumentation.
  • Willingness to reside or relocate within a 40-mile driving radius of Kenedy, TX.
  • Able to work in temperature extremes or adverse weather conditions.
  • Able to wear appropriate safety equipment and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Able to walk, bend, stoop, lift, push, pull, and use hand tools for minor repairs.
  • Able to work weekends and be on call.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree and/or trade certificate in Production Technology, Process Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of direct experience with oil and gas production practices, equipment, and terminology.
  • 1+ years of direct experience with dehydration, compression, and VRU operations.
  • Intermediate proficiency in PSSR and MOC processes.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft O365 applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Word).
  • Commitment to safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to prepare accurate and legible reports.
  • Interest in training and mentoring others.
  • Innovative mindset for improving business processes.

Work Environment

  • Work performed in field and facility environments with exposure to harsh weather, noise, heights, confined spaces, and energized electrical equipment.
  • Daily travel to different geographic locations.
  • Climb heights up to 25 feet to gauge tanks.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) required at all times.
  • Strict adherence to safety protocols.
