Mail Inserter Operator I (Night Shift)

About the role

Responsible for operating high-speed, file-based integrity production mail inserters and other print/mailing equipment to meet contractual obligations related to mailing first-class correspondence, statements, checks, etc. Mail procedures require adherence to USPS regulations governing mail and federal privacy regulations.

Logistics

Full-time (40 hours/week), Monday–Friday in a warehouse environment. Shift is 12:30 AM–9:00 AM; occasional overtime may be required. Travel between buildings may be necessary. Onsite at 1816 Willowby Street, Columbia, SC 29223.

Responsibilities

• Operate all department inserters, mailing machines, and printers for production mail processing.
• Accurately complete and maintain manual quality control logs for charge-back purposes.
• Perform equipment set-up and adjustments for each job to ensure proper processing.
• Hand-match checks with statements and insert all mail sets that default from the inserting machine process.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area; enforce building security procedures.
• Monitor equipment performance; schedule or perform cleaning and maintenance.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience working in a business or government agency.
• Pitney Bowes Operator Certified within 90 days of hire.
