Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate manual and CNC lathes, mills, and turning centers.
  • Perform complex machine setups and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality production.
  • Machine a variety of precision components to close tolerances.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and cleaning of machines to maintain optimal performance.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while meeting production goals.
  • Assist with training and mentoring less experienced machinists when needed.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of machining experience operating both manual and CNC equipment.
  • Experience performing complex machine setups.
  • Strong knowledge of machining principles, tooling, feeds, speeds, and materials.
  • Ability to produce precision parts to tight tolerances.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience manufacturing pumps, rotating equipment, or heavy industrial components.
  • Experience mentoring or assisting junior machinists.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Schedule

  • Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (1-hour lunch).
  • Flexible start time of 6:30 AM, 7:00 AM, or 7:30 AM.
  • Overtime frequently available.
