Responsibilities
- Prepare, set up, and operate CNC machines for prototyping and production
- Perform manual milling and lathe operations to support project goals
- Understand and work with specifications, drawings, job orders (Oracle & File Maker), work instructions, recipes and procedures
- Take precise measurements for cutting or shaping
- Ensure quality through attentive quality checks and adjustments
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams
- Maintain inventory of completed products, ensuring WIP build up in area is managed properly
- Fabricate products to uphold excellent quality standards and support our customers' needs
- Complete preventive maintenance on a regular, timely basis
- Guide first-line troubleshooting such as equipment malfunctions, computer program issues, setting adjustments; involving appropriate other experts as needed
- Support and uphold the Company’s safety and environmental standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Help ensure the proper disposal of waste materials
- Contribute actively to safety improvement programs
Qualifications
- High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
- 3+ years Industrial Machining experience, preferably on CNC lathes
- High level of attention to detail
- Capability to prioritize time efficiently
- Strong multi-tasking skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Good judgment, attention to detail, and manual dexterity are required
- Strong multi-tasking skills
- Good written skills, proficient computer skills, and ability to work with MS Office tools are required
- Flexibility to work in shifts and handle occasional overtime as needed
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects
- Continuous standing in one location for long periods (2-3 hours before break)
- Working Conditions: Lift up to 50 pounds of materials, supplies, tools, fixtures and equipment from floor to elevated positions; Reach and manipulate controls on equipment; Perform work activities above ground level; Perform work activities with production chemicals, adhesives and epoxies, using required personal protective equipment; Operate forklift and other material moving equipment; Perform job duties at all times of the day within plant operation; Ability to follow vocal instructions and interactions, signals, alarms and work environment sounds
