Machine Operator - Day Shift
About the role
The role involves manufacturing high-quality, low-cost pipe according to manufacturing specification sheets in an efficient manner while maintaining all NOV quality and safety measures.
Responsibilities
- Operates winding machine
- Runs DSC machine
- Extracts from extractor cart
- Uses impact gun
- Operates mix station
- Understands specifications and their relation to machine setup and product
- Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
- Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision
- Utilizes safe work habits
- Wears appropriate PPE
- Complies with all NOV Company policies, guidelines and procedures
- Complies with all HSE policies, guidelines and procedures
- Complies with all Quality policies, guidelines and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to read pressure gauges
- Ability to read labels on pipe along with specs on paper
- Ability to work overtime and shift work as required
- Good vision required for safe operation of forklift
- Standing up to 12 hours daily
- Walking up to 12 hours daily
- Bending/Stooping up to 12 hours daily
- Repetitive Movement (shoveling/sweeping/fastening) up to 12 hours daily
- Lifting weights up to 50 lbs.
- Regularly Push/Pull up to 12 hours daily
- Assists where and when needed as required
- Utilizes recommended safe work habits and makes use of all safety equipment provided
- Affords assistance with OJT (On Job Training) employees as needed
Qualifications
- Ability to read, write and speak English preferred
