Machine Operator - Day Shift

How You Will Contribute

• Set up and operate fabrication machines (Brake Press, Lasers, Drills, Saws) in accordance with established standard operating procedures (SOP) and guidelines.
• Fabricate parts to blueprint specifications using the appropriate machine and process.
• Perform designated maintenance functions.
• Assume ownership for quality.
• Participate in training.
• Perform daily 5S activities.
• Work as a team.
• Maintain all safety standards.

What This Role Needs

• Knowledge of basic shop math, ability to read a tap measure and utilize a protractor.
• Able to read and comprehend blueprints.
• Able to calculate tonnage for punching and sheering.
• Able to identify various types and gauges of steel.
• Able to operate overhead hoist (Preferred).
• 1,000 hours of trade school.
• Fabrication experience.

Working Conditions

• Ability to lift/push up to 50 lbs.
• Bending, lifting, and standing.
• Exposure to noise and weld and grinding smoke at times.
