Machine Operator Day Shift

About the role

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Machine Operator to join our Day Shift team. This position offers full-time employment with competitive compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion lines and produce vinyl siding products and accessories
• Maintain extruder and peripheral line equipment settings to produce consistent outputs
• Conduct quality assurance tests on finished product
• Communicate with maintenance and manufacturing supervisors about machine malfunctions
• Assist Extrusion Associate 4 with troubleshooting and adjusting equipment
• Perform line/panel checks to ensure product consistency
• Communicate with Material Handlers to move full warehouse racks
• Aid in training new personnel in extrusion and quality assurance areas
• Attend weekly shift meetings and monthly All Hands Forum

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/GED
• Six months of related or production experience
• Good mechanical and mathematical aptitude
• Positive attitude and excellent attendance
• Quality and safety consciousness
• Excellent communication and manual dexterity
• Standing, bending, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, twisting, and walking frequently
• Ability to work with various materials and tools
