Machine Operator

About the role

The Machine Operator will play a key role in supporting a PLC-controlled 120" wide tandem flexible PVC extrusion coating line. Responsibilities include setup, operation, breakdown, and cleaning of all components, as well as developing proper processing parameters to optimize line speeds and yields.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and break down a PLC-controlled flexible PVC extrusion coating line
• Develop and optimize processing parameters to improve line speeds and yields
• Safely operate forklifts to transport materials to workstations
• Perform quality reviews of products at assigned workstations
• Follow all company policies, including environmental policies, and report concerns to supervisors
• Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior experience with plastics, vinyl coating, lamination, or printing production (highly desirable)
• Ability to read and write English
• Good verbal communication skills
• Experience using a touch-screen (PLC) production line
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to tolerate extreme temperatures
• Willingness to work overtime if required
• Availability to cover any shift with prior notification

Schedule

D shift: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
