Machine Operator

About the role
The Machine Operator will work the overnight shift which is Monday - Thursday 6pm to 6am. The Machine Operator at Sika will play a key role in:
- Supporting a PLC controlled 120" wide tandem flexible PVC extrusion coating line
- Set up, operation, breakdown, and cleaning of all components
- Development of proper processing parameters during operation to optimize line speeds and yields
- Safe operation of forklifts to transport materials to workstations
- Ensuring proper quality review of the product on assigned workstations
- Following all company policies, including environmental policy, and notifying supervisor of any concern that may affect work area or company property
- Performing miscellaneous tasks as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior experience with plastics, vinyl coating, lamination, or printing production highly desirable
- Ability to read and write English
- Good verbal communications skills
- Understanding of how to use a touch-screen (PLC) production line
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to tolerate extreme temperatures
- Ability and willingness to work overtime if required
- Availability and willingness to cover any shift with prior notification
