Responsibilities
- Start-up and shutdown of CNC machine
- Perform daily preventative maintenance of CNC machine
- Load and unload castings to the CNC fixtures
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, gages, and other measuring tools
- Maintain and monitor robot operations
- Document inspection results using computer software for quality control
- Document finished parts quantity using MES software
- Maintain CNC tooling by changing inserts, drills, taps, and measuring offsets
- Work closely with team members to resolve issues and improve processes
- Keep a clean, well-organized machine area
- Operate according to ISO 9001 requirements
- Follow safety guidelines, adhere to Lock Out/Tag Out procedures, and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Report all unsafe activities and conditions to the Supervisor and/or Safety Representative
- Willingness to work mandatory overtime when required
Requirements
- Strong understanding of CNC machining processes
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Schedule
Working hours may vary according to production needs, including off-shift hours, weekends, and mandatory overtime. Attendance at meetings and seminars outside of designated shift hours may be required.
