Responsibilities
- Record accurate daily production while maintaining production quotas.
- Inspect the quality of the product during daily production.
- Perform minor adjustments of the roll-forming machine as needed.
- Ensure proper markings are affixed to the product fabric.
- Ensure product is packaged in the appropriate carton and labels are affixed.
- Ensure finished packaged product is placed on skids.
- Lubricate presses and dies when required.
- Maintain work area clean and free of debris.
- Record scrap accurately.
- Load raw material as needed.
- Notify the supervisor when a machine is not working properly.
- Report incidents, faulty operations, or product imperfections.
- Assist with annual physical inventory.
- Operate two different machines.
- Perform minor maintenance on roll-forming machinery to ensure safe and efficient production of quality products.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be able to read and write in English.
- Must be flexible—overtime and weekends are required as needed.
- Must be able to work a 10-hour/day schedule.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to assist in other areas/departments during downtime.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience.
Physical Requirements
- Must be in good physical condition.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must have good hand/eye coordination.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and/or bend for long periods of time (varied based on daily tasks).
Pay
The starting pay range for this hourly non-exempt role is between $15.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
