Machine Operator - 3rd Shift

Eaton’s FFD Fluid Filtration Division is seeking a Machine Operator for the 3rd shift at our Williamsport, MD facility.

Pay

$19.00 per hour with a $0.50 per hour shift differential.

Schedule

Core 3rd shift hours: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Monday – Friday.

Responsibilities

• Produce quality parts efficiently.
• Start up and operate extrusion equipment safely and properly.
• Set up jobs utilizing the proper installation of dies, adapters, breaker plates, and screen packs.
• Take necessary steps to leave extruder and downstream equipment ready for the next job.
• Clean screw installation.

All manufacturing employees at Williamsport are also responsible for:

• Complying with all Environment, Health, & Safety (EHS) standards.
• Complying with all work and process instructions.
• Identifying improvement opportunities.
• Utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for each task.
• Working safely and reporting all near misses, illnesses, and injuries following established procedures.
• Completing any initial or recurring training issued by the site or Eaton.

Requirements

• A minimum of one (1) year of machine operating experience.
• A high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Basic computer and software skills.

Eaton will not consider applicants requiring immigration sponsorship for this position. Only candidates residing within 50 miles of Williamsport, MD will be considered; active-duty military are exempt from the geographical requirement. No relocation benefit is offered.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a plastics or extrusion operations/manufacturing environment.
