Responsibilities

• Server backup and security management
• Performance tuning and capacity planning
• Supporting the Systems Management Team Lead in understanding scope and impact on technical infrastructure
• Providing tier two support for the technical infrastructure
• Coordinating with vendors for tier three support
• Resolving high priority issues in a timely manner
• Maintaining the technical environment
• Identifying and reporting hardware problems
• Writing purchase justifications
• Understanding basic routing concepts
• Tracking and resolving issues, risks, and action items
• Reviewing and prioritizing service requests
• Anticipating and resolving issues specific to the team
• Determining and managing time estimates for work

Requirements

• Understanding of network and distributed computing concepts
• Experience with server management and security
• Knowledge of performance tuning and capacity planning
• Ability to provide tier two support
• Experience coordinating with vendors for tier three support
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to write purchase justifications
• Basic understanding of routing concepts
• Effective issue tracking and resolution skills
• Ability to anticipate and resolve team-specific issues
• Proficiency in managing time and scheduling tasks

Pay

• $35-$40/hour
• Up to $45/call
