Responsibilities
- Supports implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
- Manages IT system infrastructure and related processes.
- Supports IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for various devices such as client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 and Tier 3 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
- Communicates status to agency management and internal customers.
- Supports the dispatch system and hardware problems, remaining involved in the resolution process.
- Configures and manages UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems, installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity, and configures network components.
- Implements operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Performs account management, including establishing, activating, modifying, disabling, and removing accounts.
- Provides configuration management, implementation, and sustainment of compliance with applicable system security controls.
- Performs periodic vulnerability scans of systems.
- Supports the implementation of IAVA security patches and ensures patch status is recorded in appropriate systems of record.
- Optimizes system operations and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning.
- Provides in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems.
- Provides detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
- Applies knowledge and understanding of mission islands, Trusted Thin Client, and enhanced VDI (e.g., remote GPU and memory scaling).
Requirements
- Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Four (4) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Ten (10) years’ experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- Requires DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification and Computing Environment (CE) Certification. The CE certification can be fulfilled with either Microsoft OS, CentOS/Red Hat OS CE certifications.
- Four (4) years of experience with Service Management (ITSM) is required.
