LPN - Surgical Inpatient

This role is for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) responsible for assisting with patient care in a clinical setting. Key Duties Include Administering oral medications, IV piggybacks, and fluids (excluding IV push meds)Charting assessments and updating care plans after initial assessments by RNsCommunicating with physicians and APPs to receive orders and coordinate carePerforming dressing changes, trach care, NG tube insertions and care, and ostomy careReinforcing patient education and discharge instructions Qualifications And Skills Required Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional RegulationBasic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 daysCollege diploma as an LPNExperience in medication administration, patient assessment, and clinical procedures This position involves collaboration with RNs, supporting patient care, and ensuring accurate documentation and communication to optimize outcomes.
