LPN - Surgical (Inpatient)

Role Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides patient care in collaboration with RNs and UNLs, assisting with high-acuity patients and managing patient loads.

Key Duties

• Administer medications and IV fluids (excluding push meds)
• Perform dressing, trach, NG tube, and ostomy care
• Chart assessments and update care plans
• Collaborate with physicians/APPs for patient orders
• Reinforce patient education and discharge instructions

Qualifications & Skills

• Valid Illinois LPN license (IDFPR)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA)
• College diploma as LPN
• Experience in medication administration, wound care, and patient documentation
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with healthcare team
