About the role
The LPN Supervisor position at The Bristal Assisted Living is a leadership opportunity within a senior care organization that values its employees as individuals. This role involves overseeing, mentoring, and nurturing a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being and safety of residents.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and mentor a team of nurses, HHA's, resident care aides, and medication technicians in the Wellness/Resident Services Center.
- Provide care and assistance to residents in managing their activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Administer medications to residents under the guidance of the Director of Wellness.
- Act as shift supervisor in the absence of the Director, ensuring the smooth operation of the center.
- Lead the team in providing compassionate and attentive care to residents.
- Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures, and follow the instructions of the Director of Wellness.
- Assist residents with Alzheimer's disease and dementia, if applicable.
- Exhibit excellent prioritization, multi-tasking, and independent working skills.
Requirements
- Staff supervisory and medication oversight experience, preferably in an assisted living, nursing home, or similar environment.
- An active LPN certification.
- A genuine desire to improve the quality of life of residents.
- Caring, reliable, and observant personality.
- A thorough understanding of MAR’s and doctors' orders.
Qualifications
- Experience assisting those with Alzheimer's disease and dementia is a plus.
Skills
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Understanding of medication administration and MAR’s.
