About the role
The LPN Supervisor oversees, mentors, and nurtures a team of healthcare professionals in the Wellness/Resident Services Center of The Bristal, a luxury assisted living community. This position requires acting as the shift supervisor in the absence of the Director, providing care to residents, and leading the team in administering medications and managing ADLs.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and mentor a team of nurses, HHA’s, resident care aides, and medication technicians
- Provide care and assistance to residents in managing their ADLs and administering medications
- Act as the shift supervisor in the absence of the Director
- Lead the team in caring for residents with skill and genuine kindness
- Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures, and follow the instructions of the Director of Wellness
- Supervise and oversee staff members in their roles
- Administer medications according to MAR’s and doctors' orders
Requirements
- Staff supervisory and medication oversight experience, preferably in an assisted living, nursing home, or similar environment
- Active LPN certification
- A genuine desire to improve the quality of life of residents
- Experience assisting those with Alzheimer's disease and dementia (a plus)
- Caring, reliable, and observant nature
- Understanding of MAR’s and doctors' orders
