About the role

The Resident Services Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse) assists the Resident Services Director with Resident Care Services at the Community. Key responsibilities include supervising associates, managing the medication program, supporting resident assessments, and providing coaching and mentoring.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Resident Services Department associates, including C.N.A.’s (Resident Services Assistants).
  • Aid in supervising the medication program and assist residents with self-administration of medication.
  • Maintain positive relations with residents, families, and physicians.
  • Report significant incidents and changes in residents' needs to the Executive Director/Resident Services Director.
  • Support the completion of resident assessments and service plans.
  • Aid in clinical assessments/recertifications per ALSA requirements.
  • Support the Resident Services Director in hiring and managing performance within the department.
  • Assist with training and orientation of new associates.
  • Attend and participate in scheduled in-service programs, training programs, and associate meetings.
  • Schedule and staff Resident Services Assistants as needed.
  • Provide care supervision and support to residents and families to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Licensed Practical Nurse currently licensed to practice in the appropriate state(s).
  • Basic first aid and CPR certification.
  • Two years full time or full time equivalent clinical experience.
  • Experience in assisted living or long-term care setting preferred.
