LPN - Regional Float Pool - Full Time - Night

About the Role

The Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) in the Regional Float Pool provides individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple facilities within a designated region. They assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on nursing standards, utilizing theoretical concepts for clinical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Floats between various hospital facilities, including Med/Surg, ICU, Emergency, and specialty units.
• Builds clinical assessment and communication skills through diverse patient populations.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality care.
• Maintains current licensure and certifications, including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and IV certification.
• Adheres to physical demands such as lifting, bending, and moving patients.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Current LPN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of one year recent bedside LPN experience for Med/Surg; two years for specialty areas.
• Preferred experience with Epic electronic health records.
• Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and PALS as applicable.
• Physical ability to perform required duties.
