About the Role
A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) providing direct patient care within the scope of practice under RN supervision.
Responsibilities
- Assessing and managing patients' needs according to physician orders
- Performing routine nursing procedures and ensuring high-quality care
- Coordinating care with the healthcare team and updating on patient status
- Developing and revising individualized care plans
- Educating patients and caregivers to promote self-care and support
- Accurately documenting care and communicating effectively within the team
- Participating in staff education, training, and ongoing professional development
- Serving as a preceptor for new LPN staff and participating in meetings and special projects
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certificate in Nursing
- Licensure as a Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum of 1 year medical/surgical nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred
