About the role
This role is for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide patient care under supervision or with RN guidance. It involves coordinating care, maintaining patient rights, and ensuring confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care under supervision or with RN guidance
- Coordinate care for patients
- Maintain patient rights and ensure confidentiality
- Float across multiple departments including Behavioral Health, Emergency, ICU, and Medical-Surgical
- Work at various facilities as a GIG LPN
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Current LPN licensure
- Recent bedside experience: one year for Med Surg, two years for other specialties
- Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds and prolonged standing
Certifications
- BLS (varies by department)
- ACLS (varies by department)
- PALS (varies by department)
- IV certification (varies by department)
