LPN Pediatric School Nurse - Paid Training - Prince George

About the role

This position requires 2 years of experience working as an LPN. This requirement is non-negotiable.

Responsibilities

• Manages the care of students with chronic health conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes) by coordinating with healthcare providers, teachers, and parents.
• Maintains and manages immunization records to ensure compliance with state regulations.
• Provides first aid and emergency care for injuries or sudden illnesses.
• Develops and implements emergency response plans and drills.
• Maintains accurate and confidential health records.
• Communicates with parents regarding their child's health status, concerns, and recommended follow-up care.
• Has the ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time.
• Potential need to frequently bend, crouch, and lift (up to 40 pounds).

Qualifications

• MD state LPN license.
• 2 years of LPN work experience.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Current negative TB result.
