LPN - Orthopedic Inpatient

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a fast-paced orthopedics and urology surgical unit with a 41-bed capacity. Key responsibilities include administering medications, hanging IV fluids, performing dressing and trach care, inserting NG tubes, caring for ostomies, and documenting assessments and care plans. The LPN collaborates with RNs and physicians, assists with patient education, discharge instructions, and supports the recovery process for surgical and trauma patients. Qualifications include an Illinois LPN license, BLS certification, and relevant college education. Skills required encompass proficiency in wound care, IV management, use of medical equipment (e.g., chest tubes, Foley/IV/mediport insertions), and effective communication. The role emphasizes teamwork, patient safety, and high-quality care in a resource-rich environment with dedicated educators and leadership support.
