About the role
This role is for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) on a fast-paced NT4 Ortho-Urology Surgical Unit with 41 beds, specializing in acute orthopedic and urology surgical patients, including trauma cases.
Responsibilities
- administering medications
- hanging IV fluids
- documenting assessments and care plans
- communicating with physicians
- performing dressing and trach care
- managing NG tubes and ostomies
- reinforcing discharge instructions
Qualifications
- Valid LPN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- college diploma
- relevant work experience
Skills
- proficiency in wound care
- IV management
- patient assessment
- coordination of care within a collaborative team environment
