LPN - Orthopedic (Inpatient)

Responsibilities

• Administering medications and IV therapy
• Care for wounds and devices
• Documentation of patient care
• Patient education
• Collaboration with RNs and UNLs
• Assisting with patient assessments
• Developing and implementing care plans
• Performing dressing changes
• Managing tracheostomy and NG tube care
• Providing discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Illinois LPN license
• BLS certification
• Relevant college diploma

Skills

• Proficiency with medical equipment such as wound vacs, drains, traction devices, telemetry monitoring, and IV pumps
