About the role
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides comprehensive nursing care to patients, families, and caregivers within medical practices. They collaborate with physicians, registered nurses, and multidisciplinary team members to support patient-centered care and advocate for patient health.
Responsibilities
- Gather and document patient measurements and data
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist with treatments
- Perform supportive care tasks under the supervision of licensed healthcare providers
- Promote self-care and manage patient care plans
- Maintain equipment, supplies, and a safe environment
- Participate in quality improvement, continuing education, and team communication
- Respond effectively to patient requests and relay information to healthcare providers
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program
- Current New York State licensure as an LPN
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 weeks of hire
- Strong communication skills, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards
- Preferred candidates may hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing
- Background verification may be required
