About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides general nursing care to patients, families, and caregivers within a medical practice setting. They assist and advocate for patient health, collaborating with physicians, registered nurses, and multidisciplinary teams. The LPN performs tasks under the clinical direction of licensed healthcare providers, adhering to professional standards and legal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Gathering patient data
• Preparing patients for examinations
• Supporting self-care and treatment plans
• Maintaining equipment, supplies, and a safe environment
• Engaging in quality improvement
• Participating in continuing education
• Communicating effectively with the healthcare team

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited LPN program
• Current NYS licensure as an LPN
• BLS certification within six weeks of hire
