About the role
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides comprehensive nursing care in a medical practice setting, supporting patient-centered care and collaborating with healthcare team members, including physicians and registered nurses.
Responsibilities
- Gather patient measurements and data, record findings, and prepare patients for examinations and treatments.
- Assist with examinations and supportive care tasks under the supervision of licensed providers or nurses.
- Support patient self-care and management plans, maintain a safe and clean environment, and ensure equipment and supplies are properly maintained.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, attend educational activities, and engage in team communication to ensure effective care delivery.
- Respond to patient requests and communicate effectively with healthcare providers.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
- Current New York State licensure as an LPN.
- Basic Life Support certification required within six weeks of hire.
- Preferred candidates may hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing.
