About the role
Join a compassionate healthcare team as an LPN working in a Neurology unit with moderate to high patient acuity.
Responsibilities
- Utilizing the nursing process to deliver patient care under supervision or guidance of a registered nurse or licensed prescriber.
- Providing care for patients with complex neurological conditions such as stroke, seizures, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, and neuromuscular disorders.
- Monitoring mental status, assisting with mobility, medication management, swallowing precautions, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintaining patient rights, confidentiality, and professional accountability.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent experience with successful licensure.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and turn patients (up to 50 pounds).
- New or experienced LPNs eligible to apply.
- Current LPN licensure in the state of practice, with BLS certification and, if applicable, IV certification.
