Responsibilities
- Utilizing the nursing process to deliver patient care under supervision or with guidance from licensed professionals.
- Monitoring patients for neurological changes, managing complex conditions such as stroke, seizures, and traumatic brain injury.
- Assisting with mobility, fall prevention, medication management, swallowing precautions, and coordinating multidisciplinary care.
- Maintaining patient rights, confidentiality, and ensuring quality care.
Qualifications and Skills
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent experience with valid licensure.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and turn patients, with physical capability to handle up to 50 pounds.
- New or experienced LPNs welcome.
- Current Basic Life Support certification; LPN-IV certification required or to be completed within specified timeframes.
- Must hold and maintain a valid LPN license in the state of practice.
