LPN - Long Term Care - PRN Days

About the role

Provide professional nursing care for residents in long-term care settings. Work under supervision of registered nurses, advanced practice providers, or physicians.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents, administer medications and treatments, and ensure their health, comfort, and safety.
• Document resident interactions, care outcomes, and collaborate with healthcare team members.
• Recognize problems, respond to emergencies, and recommend solutions.
• Counsel residents and families on prevention and treatment plans.
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program; associate degree preferred.
• Possess an unencumbered LPN license with multi-state privileges.
• Complete required clinical experience or 400+ hours of practical nursing experience.
• Maintain required competencies, certifications, and continuing education units.
• If applicable, have IV therapy/management skills per state requirements.
