LPN - Long Term Care - Full Time Days

About the role

Join a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing quality care and services to seniors in a Christian environment. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for delivering professional nursing care to residents in long-term care settings. Under supervision, the LPN performs assessments, administers medications and treatments, and evaluates resident status through testing. The LPN demonstrates competency within the full scope of nursing expertise, ensuring resident health, comfort, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to resident assessments and care planning
• Provide technical support and documentation of care and outcomes
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members
• Recognize problems, recommend solutions, and respond to emergent situations
• Counsel residents and advocate for their needs

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program; associate degree preferred
• Unencumbered LPN license with multi-state privileges
• Experience or clinical hours across the lifespan; IV therapy skills if required
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
• Strong communication, confidentiality, and problem-solving skills

Additional requirements

Completes annual continuing education and maintains required competencies. Must pass a drug screen and background check.
