About the role
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) providing professional nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting.
Responsibilities
- Assess residents
- Administer medications and treatments
- Monitor health status
- Document care activities
- Respond to emergent situations
- Support interdisciplinary teams
- Counsel residents and families on care plans
- Ensure resident safety, comfort, and well-being
- Maintain effective communication and confidentiality while establishing strong relationships with residents and staff
- Provide compassionate resident care
- Support health assessments
- Medication administration
- Documentation
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver quality services
- Perform other related tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current unencumbered LPN license
- Preferred associate degree
- Complete required continuing education units (CEUs)
- Maintain certifications
- Experience or training in clinical care, including IV therapy if applicable
