LPN Long Term Care - Full Time Days

About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) offers professional nursing care for residents in long-term care settings. You will demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles, assess residents, administer medications and treatments, and provide technical support to healthcare professionals. The role ensures residents' health, comfort, and safety, documents care activities, and works effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams while maintaining confidentiality and clear communication. You will also provide counseling and education to promote self-care and aid in emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting.
• Assess residents and administer medications and treatments.
• Provide technical support to healthcare professionals.
• Ensure residents' health, comfort, and safety.
• Document care activities accurately.
• Maintain clear communication and confidentiality with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide counseling and education to promote self-care.
• Respond to emergent situations and contribute to care planning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Hold an unencumbered LPN license with state or multi-state licensure privileges.
• Clinical training or a minimum of 400 hours of experience as an LPN.
• Additional skills or coursework may be required for IV therapy management.
