LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - Emergency Department

About the role

This position is for a full-time Inpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) responsible for delivering compassionate patient care, coordinating nursing activities, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The role involves working in a dynamic emergency department environment with a focus on trauma, behavioral health, and critical care. Emphasis is placed on safety, diversity, and community involvement.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to patient assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care in line with scope of practice
• Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families
• Provide direct care including treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures
• Reinforce patient and family education, discharge planning, and support throughout hospitalization
• Evaluate intervention effectiveness and collaborate proactively with physicians and staff
• Mentor new staff and participate in evidence-based practice decisions

Requirements

• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing
• Ability to work in a team environment, demonstrate compassion, and prioritize patient safety
• Experience or knowledge in emergency or inpatient settings preferred

Schedule

Evening/night shifts, weekends, and holidays required.
