About the role

Inpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) responsible for providing direct patient care, assessing patient needs, and supporting discharge planning within a clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute data to assessments and plan of care according to scope of practice and standards.
• Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
• Reinforce patient and family education, including discharge planning.
• Administer treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies following policies.
• Evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to meet patient needs.
• Participate in evidence-based practice decisions and unit-based initiatives.
• Provide mentorship and precept new staff and students in a professional manner.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing.

Skills

• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to coordinate care and ensure patient safety and satisfaction.

Schedule

Work typically involves shifts from 7p to 7:30a, with requirements for every other weekend and holidays.
